About the Constant Contact Automation

Once you connect Constant Contact, ResaleAI automatically adds customer emails to your CC list in the background every day, based on your real transactions. There's no import button to push and no list to upload manually.
How It Works
ResaleAI adds contacts automatically — you don't need to do anything
Once you connect Constant Contact, ResaleAI sends customer emails to your CC list in the background every day, based on your real transactions. There's no import button to push and no list to upload manually.
Contacts are added from both sales and buy transactions
Any time a customer makes a sale or sells items to your store, ResaleAI picks up their email and adds it to Constant Contact. This keeps your list current with customers who are actively shopping and selling with you.
No duplicates are ever added
If a customer's email address is already in your Constant Contact account, ResaleAI won't add it again. You'll never end up with the same contact listed twice.
What to Expect Right After You Connect
A common question after connecting CC is: "I only see a small number of contacts — where is everyone?" Here's what's happening:
Your contacts build up gradually — this is normal
ResaleAI doesn't import your entire customer list all at once. Contacts are added in batches, and Constant Contact limits how many can be added per batch and per day. It may take several days for your full backlog of customers to appear in CC after you first connect.
ResaleAI looks back 6 months automatically
When you connect, ResaleAI processes all transactions from the last 6 months and sends those customer emails to CC. You don't need to do anything — this happens in the background and continues until all historical contacts have been added.
How to check progress
In Constant Contact, go to Contacts and look at the Other Apps source. This shows contacts added via ResaleAI. You can also go to Reports and sort by Date Added to see the most recent additions.
Where Customer Emails Come From
ResaleAI pulls customer emails from two places:
- DRS customer record — If the customer already has an email address saved in their DRS record, ResaleAI uses that when adding them to Constant Contact.
- Buy check-in — If a customer's email wasn't captured the first time they came in to sell, ResaleAI will pick it up on their next visit — as long as an email is collected at check-in.
No email on file? No problem — ResaleAI will grab it next time
If a customer comes in without an email address on record, ResaleAI won't add them that time. But the next time they visit and an email is collected, they'll automatically be added to Constant Contact.
If Your Store Has Multiple Locations
Multi-store: one customer is only added to one Constant Contact account
If your business has multiple ResaleAI store locations, a customer's email address will only be sent to one Constant Contact account — not multiple. This prevents duplicate contacts across locations and keeps your CC list clean.
