Checking in a buy away from a POS

Typically, you check in a buy using ResaleAI at a POS computer.
But if your team doesn't have a free POS, you can now check in a buy from any other device, like a store tablet, phone, or laptop!
We're excited to roll out this new option for more freedom and flexibility for your team.
How it works
- Your team will sign in to ResaleAI using an email address set up for shared team access. When logged in to this shared account, employees will enter their PIN the same way they do at a POS computer. This way actions are tracked, so you know who checked in each buy.
NOTE: Our team will need to set up the right access for you.
To get started, email [email protected] with your store number and specify the email address you want to use for your team. We'll make sure it's set up appropriately!
- Open a browser like Google Chrome, and go to team.resaleai.com
- Sign in with a shared team login for your store
- Go to the Buy page in ResaleAI, and check in a buy normally!
- The process is the same as the main ResaleAI POS app. The buy will be created in DRS, and the buy slips will print from a POS receipt printer
Options
Change where buy slips print out
- From the device where you're checking in buys, click the menu dots in the top-right corner of ResaleAI
- Choose "Buy settings" and enter a manager PIN
- Scroll down to "Print to POS" towards the bottom
- Choose a POS and click "Save"
- It should save this setting going forward whenever you use that particular device. If you sign in on a different tablet, phone, etc. you may need to select the POS again
- If you don't see the desired POS, make sure the latest version of ResaleAI is installed and running at that computer
Scan driver's licenses
- Currently, this Bluetooth scanner is supported: Netum Portable 2D Bluetooth Scanner - E900 or E950 model
- NOTE: It MUST be the Netum E900 or E950 model. The lower tier options do not transmit data fast enough over Bluetooth and will not work.
- This isn't an affiliate link - we've simply tested many scanners and found this one to be the best option so far. We may have additional options in the future!
Requirements
Latest version of ResaleAI installed at the POS computers
- At the POS computer, open ResaleAI an look in the top left corner (along the top bar of the app)
- You should see ResaleAI POS v.24.10.2 or higher
- If you do not have version 24, open a browser and go to resaleai.com/install to download the latest version
- NOTE: The latest version is only supported on Windows 10 or higher. If you have Windows 7, you can continue using an older version of ResaleAI for now, but will need to update to Windows 10 before you can install the most recent version and get any newer features.
Signed in with a shared team login
- If you sign in at team.resaleai.com and don't have the option to click "Check in" on a new buy, then the login you are using isn't set up for shared team access
